My Journey So Far

Digital Marketing Manager
Amalgam Collection
July 2019 - Present
Responsible for all of Amalgam's digital activity, I manage the marketing department and its outputs, reporting directly to the Director of Brand and Business Development. I maintain two Shopify global websites in five languages, handling the product and blog content on a daily basis. I've made the websites a key project for myself whilst being at Amalgam, improving their accuracy, making them more engaging, strengthening their offering and ensuring they meets the standards of the brand. In less than three years, I have facilitated a 160% surge in sales, a 200% increase in orders, a 60% rise in visitors and a 75% upturn in conversion. The website has recorded five record sales months under my tenure, as well as numerous new monthly highs. I led the creation of a second website specifically for the China market, which I now maintain with assistance from our Chinese sales team. I oversee all the company’s external and internal communication to B2C and B2B customers through social media channels, email campaigns, digital and print advertising, press releases and company updates. As well as developing a lot of the content myself through copywriting, photography and video making, I supervise all other content and its creation, collaborating with digital marketing agencies, photographers and videographers in the UK, Hungary and China. I am the point of contact for digital, PR and social media enquiries and also collaborate with digital agencies and publications. Most notably, I have cooperated directly on projects with The Official Ferrari Magazine, YouTuber star Shmee150 (Tim Burton) and Mike Fernie at DriveTribe. Regularly liaising with luxury automotive manufacturers and motorsport teams, such as Ferrari, Mercedes-AMG, McLaren and Red Bull Racing, I also contribute to the production process, designing product packaging and managing brand identity. Internally, I support our sales and events teams, partners and retailers, such as Ralph Lauren and Richard Mille, coordinating the use of marketing collateral, imagery, social media and QR codes to agents and events across the globe. I established an internal communication programme to regularly inform all employees of the marketing team's latest activities and to encourage feedback on our processes.

Marketing Assistant
Taunton School
July 2018 - July 2019
My role as Marketing Assistant was to promote and increase student recruitment and to increase the profile of the School and its commercial activities, both nationally and internationally, working alongside the Marketing, Admissions and Events teams. I was responsible for much of the School's external communication, particularly on social media. Among my many responsibilities, I was the editor for an online School Newsletter with a weekly circulation of 3000+ people in the School Community. My duties also included website management (using Umbraco and Wordpress), graphic design, the worldwide distribution of marketing materials to events and agents, content creation for use on the website and social media, event coverage through photography and video, estream usage, copywriting, and advertising and publication creation for print and digital distribution. Whilst here, I made a significant contribution in major projects such as a complete redesign of the School's website including a CMS changeover, a comprehensive rebranding of the School's Sports Club and all its assets, and a branding update of all major documentation used across the School.

Animal Carer
Bath Cats and Dogs Home
May 2018 - June 2018
My brief foray into animal care was a great experience. After a quick initial training period, I was soon managing a kennel block of up to eleven dogs autonomously. My role naturally involved looking after the dogs' physical and mental welfare but also coordinating walks, paddock time and cleaning with volunteers and co-workers, maintaining the kennel's cleaning standards and interacting with and fielding questions from the public. I only moved on so quickly from the Home because an opportunity into my dream career was offered to me by Taunton School.
The adorable beast in the photo was called Darwin. I totally fell in love with him while at BCDH despite his difficulties. I was glad to hear he was successfully rehomed shortly after I left.

Store Manager
Caffé Nero
November 2014 - March 2018
At Caffé Nero, my key accountability was to maximise sales and opportunity by delivering continually high standards of customer service through my leadership and development of the team. My personal responsibilities included stock management, rota planning and financial control, all whilst coordinating product and personnel with other stores across the area. My role also extended to monitoring, implementing and adhering to health and safety and food safety policies. I used my initiative to merchandise products to appeal to my customers and their demands while maintaining company defined standards.
Other Experiences
Non-Gaming Content Editor
NerdyAF
November 2014 - March 2018
A voluntary role for a new web-based start up. My primary role was to organise and edit all non-gaming content for the site, contributing my own material as well as overseeing the other writers involved, ensuring maximum engagement with followers and visitors to the site. My own articles were largely film reviews. I left to dedicate my time to my management development at Caffè Nero.
Key Holder Associate
Help for Heroes
February 2013 - November 2014
Initially a volunteering role, my passion and capabilities lead me to an official management position, developing the store and its team of volunteers in an attempt to reach the store's daily KPI and sales targets. Due to success of the Cardiff store, the first H4H shop, more were opened.
I supervised the running of H4H events to raise funds and awareness for the charity and regularly provided social media support for both shop and charity.
Cast Member
Disney
May 2013 - November 2014
A retail role where my mission was to contribute to the “best thirty minutes of a child’s day”. My duties included helping sell Disney products to guests, handling deliveries, visual merchandising and managing stock. My strengths in operational roles lead to me being given responsibility for the stockroom and deliveries. I also took a lead in visual merchandising.
Seasonal Retail Colleague
Lakeland
August 2013 - January 2014
Seasonal work with a high amount of responsibility as staff were given a lot of autonomy in which to operate. Customer service, stock management, merchandising and admin activities, such as cashing up tills, were key duties here. Information was key in Lakeland and nearly everything about the products (instructions, stock availability, deliveries) was available on the systems and the act of finding and communicating the relevant parts of this to customers was crucial.
Mystery Shopper
Focused Sales Marketing
April 2012 - May 2013
Occasional work fitting around my university studies, where I would evaluate areas of customer service, sales processes and the general layout and accessibility of retail stores.
Bar Staff
Aramark UK
June 2012 - September 2012
This was a summer job where I spent much of my time alone managing a bar from open until close in the evening. I was responsible for all aspects of the bar. During events, I would become part of a team where constant communication was key and multitasking was was essential.
Sales Assistant
Morrisons Supermarkets
August 2009 - June 2011
This was my first job, one that I worked part-time around my college and later my university studies. I worked across a variety of departments, allowing me to develop a comprehensive knowledge of products, gain an adaptable approach to every customer interaction and better understand my colleagues across stores.
