Each model is based on the steering wheel used by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz during the 2022 FIA Formula 1 World Championship season. Crafted and finished in the workshops of Amalgam, these steering wheel replicas have received approval from the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team following detailed scrutiny.

The Art Admirer
Lotus 72D Fine Art Silkscreen Print by Alan Thornton – £750
For those looking to decorate their walls with an automotive masterpiece, Amalgam have partnered with artist and photographer Alan Thornton in a remarkable and beautiful collaboration. Using hand pulled screen printing, Alan has rendered the image onto Naturalis paper at a large size: 1.0 metres wide and 0.7 metres high. This particular silkscreen print exhibits an image of the very Lotus 72D driven by Emerson Fittipaldi to Drivers’ and Constructors’ World Championship victories in 1972.

The Connoisseur
Jaguar E-Type Roadster at 1:18 scale – £845
Often hailed as the most beautiful production road car of all time, the sublime Jaguar E-type Series 1 stirred passions in automotive aficionados the world over when launched at the Geneva Salon in 1961. Amalgam’s recreation of this icon at 1:18 scale will unquestionably prove popular with any classic car connoisseur. The models are handcrafted in small batches with the co-operation and assistance of Jaguar Classic regarding original finishes, materials, archive imagery and drawings.

The Endurance Devotee
Ford GT40 at 1:18 scale – £845
One of the most iconic racing cars of all time, Amalgam’s edition of the Ford GT40 at 1:18 scale precisely replicates chassis #1075, as raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the hands of Jacky Ickx and Jackie Oliver on the 14th and 15th June 1969. Development commenced using data supplied after scanning an original GT40, owned by a client of Amalgam, necessitating over 800 hours of development which only concluded once the experts at the Ford Archive and Heritage department were fully satisfied with the accuracy of representation.

The Historian
Porsche 917 KH – Race Weathered at 1:18 scale – £1355
For those yearning a real historical motorsport artefact, Amalgam have created an art piece of arguably greater value in their Race Weathered series of models. This particular example, based on chassis number 917-053 as raced to victory by Gijs van Lennep and Helmut Marko at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on the 12th and 13th of June 1971, is limited to just 100 pieces at 1:18 scale. Each model has been meticulously hand-painted and detailed by the artists in the company’s Bristol workshop to show every detail of the race dirt and damage, from the oils stains and mud that adorned the bright white livery right down to the car’s damaged front left corner and missing headlight cover.

The Reader
Ferrari Monza SP1/SP2 Limited Edition Book – £3275

Each tome celebrates a fresh but already iconic Ferrari car, chronicling the inspiration, evolution and creation of the Monza SP1/SP2. An incredibly precise recreation of a true mechanical marvel, this 1:4 scale model is a very highly detailed and meticulously finished example of the Bugatti Chiron’s immense W16 engine. With some 1,040 individual parts, this 1:4 scale replica measures in at 44cm (18in) long and 22cm (9in) high and shows every visible detail of the engine right down to the numerous parts labels and barcodes. The accurate replication of the actual engine has relied heavily on Amalgam’s close relationship with the Bugatti design team.
