Amalgam Collection has been a key supply partner to all of the leading Formula 1 Teams since 1995. To celebrate that long and exciting journey inside the world’s leading motorsport, Amalgam have been invited by leading online auction marketplace for special objects Catawiki to put together a collection of F1 models for auction, that represent just a few of the significant landmarks along the way, starting with the Jordan 196, and ending with the RB15 Red Bull of Max Verstappen and the W10 Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton.

Amalgam Collection has always found the door open at every one of the F1 Teams they approached, because of a shared passion for the pinnacle of motorsport, but even more importantly, because of a shared passion for excellence in design. Like the F1 Teams they work with, Amalgam is obsessive about accuracy and detail, and Amalgam’s team of engineers and craftspeople are always looking to take their creations to the next level with new techniques and technologies. Trust has been key in developing these close relationships with F1 Teams. The teams share their precious new CAD designs with Amalgam’s development team right at the start of each F1 season, so with each team looking to get every possible insight into what the others are up from the get go, total trust is essential, a trust that has grown steadily in depth over the last 26 years. The finished Amalgam models are a true reflection of the quality and depth of detail in the data the teams are willing to share with Amalgam, founded on that deep trust.

“Each one of the models offered in the auction represents Amalgam’s historic relationships with key players in each team” says Brand Director Sandy Copeman. “Eddie Jordan and Gary Andersen at Jordan GP, Geoff Willis at BAR, Luca di Montezemolo at Ferrari and Adrian Newey at Red Bull, not to mention the long list of drivers we have worked with. I’d like to think these models have captured the essence of some important moments of F1 history.”

Laura Brianza, Catawiki's Model Cars expert says: "We're thrilled to be hosting this very special auction - bringing to life some of the most iconic Formula 1 moments of the past 25 years through unique objects. At Catawiki, our users are deeply passionate about this exciting adrenaline-fuelled phenomenon and with these models both F1 fans and the collecting community can continue to immerse themselves in it's fascinating history."
